But I will go through the entire list of products that I used so you can get an idea. The look I went for was a brown smokey eye with a hint of deep red and a pinky/nude lip.

La Roche-Posay Effaclar duo+ - Review

Hi everyone.

I'm going to start this off by saying I have oily/combination/sensitive/spot prone skin. If you have any of the same skin issues as me this post will be informative for you.

This post is on the La Roche-Posay EFFACLAR DUO +. This product has literally changed my life and I will tell you why. EFFACLAR DUO + has been designed to target the signs of oily/blemish prone skin and eliminate acne marks from the moment they start to appear. I'm just gunna put it straight out there, IT DOES. It works. It gets rid of acne marks, scars... You name it. Gone.

For us oily skin peeps, this product aims to correct the appearance of blemishes, unclog pores, control shine and refine the skins texture, while keeping it hydrated for up to 24 hours. And it does exactly that. If you have super oily skin you will find that this product is probably a good moisturiser. It's also a great makeup base! However if you have oily/combination skin like me, you are going to need to use moisturiser as well.

I use this product along side the EFFACLAR foaming face cleanser and toner every morning and evening. I have found that this combination has reaaaaallly helped my skin, I saw a vast improvement as soon as I started using them. However, I feel that if you have a cleaser and toner that you know work well for you, then EFFACLAR DUO + is just a great product to add into your routine. I must say thought that I really do recommend the cleanser and toner too! The whole range of EFFACLAR products are just amazing.

I have found that this product really reduces the amount of blemishes that appear on my skin (due to the Salicylic acid and LHA), and in conjunction with the toner has made my skin feel a lot smoother.

The product is Non-comedogenic, hypoallergenic and paraben-free which is great.

EFFACLAR DUO + retails for around the £14.00 mark but it really depends on where you get it from. I got the set of 3 products I have spoken about for about £32.00 from Boots over the Christmas period in a set. I'm not sure if they still do it but it's worth having a look as that is such a great deal. If not they are all sold individually.

I hope that this post has been informative and interesting. Please feel free to ask any further questions in the comments section below.

Hi I'm Holly and I'm a foodaholic

Anyone that knows me knows that I love food. When I was younger I used to be a suuuuper fussy eater, I literally used to live on pasta and ketchup as a dish, but luckily that changed as I got older and now I will try anything at least once. I don't eat meat, not because I don't like the taste - but because I don't enjoy the texture. That probably makes me a weirdo, but I'm okay with that. I have a really funny thing about texture with food, and so meaty fish and strangely anything 'too eggy' is out of the question.

You're probably thinking... What on earth do you eat then?! I get asked that a lot and not going to lie, it kinda annoys me. So I don't eat meat or fish... I eat everything else! The point I'm trying to make is that I love food. I love cooking food, I love eating food, I love talking/writing about food. I love food. And I want to share my passion for food on this blog more than I do. I'm going to be sharing more recipes and ideas with you, and hope that you will share recipes and ideas with me in return.

My style of cooking will probably appeal to vegetarians mainly, however anything I cook you could add your meat of choice to really... My boyfriend does that often! I might even include a meat suggestion in my posts - that could be helpful.

If you have any suggestions, just let me know in the comments!

Love. H x

Classic red lip

Happy New Year everyone! ♥

Hope you all had an amazing festive season.
So sorry I haven't posted in such a long time, I've have been suuuper busy for the past few months and haven't really had time to sit and write blog posts. But hopefully now I'll have some time to keep up to date. So today I wanted to share with you the makeup look I wore for New Year's Eve. I knew I wanted to create a look around a classic red lip, so wanted to do something pretty simple on the eyes. It ended up as a slightly smokey gold eye with a strong winged liner, which I thought looked really nice and timeless.

This look was perfect for the festive season, but would also work just as well for a night out with friends or for any kind of formal event.

Here are the products that I used to create this look:

♥ La Roche Posay EFFACLAR moisturiser
♥ No7 radiance cream
♥ Bourjois Happy Light Matte Serum
♥ MAC Face and Body foundation mixed with L'Oreal Lumi foundation
♥ Bobbi Brown Foundation Stick in Warm Ivory to highlight the face
♥ Collection 16 hour wear concealer on imperfections
♥ YSL Touche Eclat to highlight under the eyes
♥ Bobbi Brown Foundation Stick in Warm Almond to bronze
♥ Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in Transluscent to set the face
♥ Anastasia Beverly Hills contour kit to contour and highlight
♥ L'Oreal Glam Bronze bronzer
♥ Dark brown eyeshadow from Benefit to fill in the brows (not sure of the name, sorry)
♥ Urban Decay Primer Potion to prime the lids
♥ From the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette: White Chocolate as a base, Salted Caramel in the crease, Crème Brûlée on the mobile lid, Milk Chocolate to deepen the outer corners and Marzipan on the inner corners to highlight.
♥ L'Oreal gel eyeliner to create a feline flick
♥ Bobbi Brown Everything mascara
♥ Ardell Demi Wispies
♥ Duo lash adhesive
♥ Barry M lip liner in Red to outline and fill in the lips
♥ Eva's Red lipstick from the L'Oreal Pure Red's Collection
